I have 2 garages. A 2 1/2 car attached garage and the 24 X 36 detached. I built the detached garage to build my Super Bee. At least that's the excuse I used to justify it.
The 8" walls will soon be 16" I'm just raising the center 20' to that height.
I helped a buddy of mine do this to his garage. We made 8 ft panels beforehand, cut the fasteners for the roof from the building, went into the attic, cut 2 access holes above the main joists for lift straps and he rented a crane for two hours. The crane lifted the roof directly up and we got on staging and put the panels in place. Then the crane set the roof down and we re-attached it...Voila!! all done. It went pretty slick.

It's my wife's car. The best thing I ever did was buy her that car! She was never really crazy about cars until we purchased it. We got it just before I finished the Super Bee.
It was a 42,000 mi. survivor. I told her I would do anything to it she wanted after I finished the Bee. The next thing you know she helping me finish the interior of and ordering parts for me. She wanted a color change inside & out so thats what I've been doing to it. If it wasn't for that car I probably wouldn't be modifying my garage. It was her idea so it would be easier to work on her car. The only problem she has is I would rather drive the Super Bee & now the Challenger than work on her car! I've had the firebird apart for 3 years now. It only to me 26 years to finish the Super Bee. Maybe I'll finish it before I retire. (In about 10 years) I hope she don't see this!! lol
My wife and me took the Coronet out for a drive today. It's been sitting for a few weeks, so it took a bit to get it fired up, but once I did, it ran and sounded like a big block Mopar should!

Amen to that Rich. She actually misses me having the Mickey Thompson Drag Radials on the back of the car because the B.F.G. Radial T/A's don't "chirp" when she power shifts the cars full manual automatic transmission from 1st to 2nd gear! She IS a true Mopar Girl!

Got my Coronet into to storage yesterday. Good thing too. 6-8" of snow here today. Took some pictures of some of the other stuff in this guys polebarn. 84-86 SVO Mustang. An old, old Indian motorcycle, a late 60's Chevy truck.
It seems like every other '66 Coronet, mine came with dented trunk trim so I decided to have a go at fixing the two pieces. Laysons has replacements for $160+ each and the shipping to Canada would be killer, so it was worth a try. The upper one was the worst & I ended up having to wet sand through the anodizing and polish the raw aluminum. The lower one straightened pretty well without having to do that. Have to wait 'til the snow vanishes & I can see them in the daylight, but so far, so good.333333343335
