What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....???
Never did like those amp gauges, they seemed very sensitive to everything!
Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!

I drove mine back from carlisle to NYC a few moments ago. Cruised all the way at 65 mph @2800rpm's. Sweet Smiles and thumbs up all the way home.

Sat in it as it's to hot outside to start it.

Copper67440 Wrote:This week I installed a new Yearone M & H dash harness. That was actually last night. Drove it to a couple of cruises today. Probably a little over a hundred miles round trip. The amp guage was acting a little hinky right when I started it. It seemed to go a little too high on the charge side and actually fluctuated like a tach for a few. I checked the battery voltage with the car off at 12.93v. It was too late last night to let it run longer than a minute.
Like I said I drove it today and the guage went to the middle and moved just a little both ways all day. I'm a happy camper!!
That is how the old voltage regulators work. After you start the car, the voltage regulator will go to full charge for a little bit, the calm down. But the calm is bouncing the needle because the contacts are toggling. If it drives you nuts, jut change to a solid state one. But it is perfectly normal.
