What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....???
Racer Brown Wrote:Cool!

The left hanger is not really OEM looking and is much more "economy" than factory. They do make repros of it and Accurate almost seemed insulted when I suggested they offer a premium upgrade to their kit and offer the OEM hanger too so it all comes in their kit

Finished wiring up the fuel tank and got it staged in the car. Many little details including hose clamps, OEM wiring on the engine, FiTech wiring and sensors on the engine all complete. Fabricated a 4 barrel shift down link with steel rod and a 5/16" fine thread bolt. Works perfectly.

It seems to. I copied it from a photo of a 4 barrel 340 linkage

This Friday I took the R/T out for a short drive to check the new tires and retorque the wheels to get ready to go to the track. Saturday night I drove to San Antonio Raceway for a test and tune. My tach decided to quit working so I had to shift by feel. The first pass was 13.01 with a 1.89 60 ft 98.4 mph. The second pass was 12.84 with a 1.94 60 ft 106.9 mph the third pass was 12.64 with 1.87 60ft 107.9mph. I think there is more in her but was short shifting by feel because of the tach. A definite 60ft improvement. More testing to come.

Got my Heater Valve back from Jim Tucker, received my Heater Core from Bob at Glen-ray, finished up the AC box and installed. Got the power train bolted in, mocked up the Accurate Exhaust dual exhaust system and started to rough in my EFI fuel system. Coker Magnum 500 wheels and T/A Radials are on the Fed-Ex truck for delivery tomorrow.

Spent 12hrs yesterday and another 7 today polishing and cleaning every square inch of the car for the Autorama car show here in Detroit next weekend. We take the car down to Cobo Hall Wednesday night. First time it will be shown. My Dad had cars in the show almost every year up until '86.
Excited, nervous and tired!
