Trying to salvage the chrome on my front bumper today, I got a crappy chrome
job done that I paid top dollar for. All the edges and behind plate turn green if dont keep up on it. Paid 250.00 for a good bumper then paid 250.00 to rechrome so I have a 500.00 bumper that turns green like alizard. Lol

I installed a new fuel pump I got from Mancini yesterday after finishing everything else that I posted in my previous thread, took it for a nice drive and it felt great!Got back home, popped the hood and was over looking everything, and saw that the fuel pump is leaking...lol. I was hoping it was a fitting or something but nope. It appears to be leaking where the casing comes together on the fuel pump. Oh well, I will have to remove it when I get home from work and tighten it up hopefully where the 8 screws hold it together.

My wife and me took our 66 Coronet 500 over to my buddy's body shop this morning and I spoke with him about spraying the interior door and quarter window area sheet metal back to the original factory black from it's current bright yellow. I also asked him to figure in painting a new set of front door hinge assemblies that I have in my parts stash, along with rehanging the doors after installing the new hinge assemblies and new door strikers and spacers that I also have ready to go. After that it will be time to start working on the factory power windows to try and get that entire system back to good as new condition while also restoring all of the other internal front door and quarter window area parts that I've been gathering for so many years now. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks when his busy schedule permits my interior restoration will finally begin. Smile

Hey Rich, I'll finally be taking parts OUT of my parts storage bins and putting them IN the car! Dang, that's kind of a weird feeling for us parts hoarders......uh I mean parts collector types huh? Rofl

If I agree with you does that mean I have a problem?

There must be a 12 step program for Coronet parts hoarders? If there is then I am staying the heck away from that program! LOL. Hoarding isn't the problem, it is WHERE to put the ever increasing hoard!
