That's right. I expect to be sanding the Express for at least 3 months before thinking about paint. Long wide panels equals blocking.........I bet you did a great job on that dent.
Not too surprise that heater core started leaking on Jr but how it started leaking is different to me. I was driving home from work and I just set timing and wanted to do the load test to see if it would ping, well I got a whole lot more than a ping LOL . I had it kick down into second and !! hang on OL JR was feeling his wheaties we were heading to the moon it felt like, these lil 340 get with the program. While I had an ear to ear I heard a pop and a sudden familiar smell of hot coolant and look down and the floor is sprayed down with the green stuff. I made a run for home not far away and cleaned up the mess and ordered a core. Really easy to put in for an a/c car, being as the a/c box is separate from the heat box, MoPar guys were thinking thank you very much.
Have you seen a core exploded like this before? Looks like it may have been half plugged and pressure of me stomping on it made it pop!! And of coarse I found another mouse nest in there and up in the fresh air cowl. grrrrrr
Shoot Andy, that heater core only lasted 48 years? Maybe it's still under warranty?
Regarding Jr and his 340, I know for a fact that many a big block powered muscle car fell victim to the 340 powered A-Body cars on the street back in the day! An A-Body car with a 340, 4 speed and a 3.91 gear ratio was a tough set up to beat from stop light to stop light!

For some unknown reason, nobody seems to take me seriously............
