The combustion chambers on the heads range from 91 to 94cc's Doesn't seem to bad.

It is an NOS turn signal lever.

I saw the same variance on the other set of 452's I had, I attributed it to some valves being recessed in the head more than the others.

I'd just get these heads redone with same size valves, and put it back together. Unless you going to be running around in higher RPM's all day, you probably won't notice the difference between the smaller and larger valves.
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....???
67440Dodge Wrote:Joe,

Before you do any work to the heads, you may want to check the chamber volume on the 452's. I've got 4 452 castings under my bench that have varying chamber sizes on them due to core shift. 2 of them the previous owner found out about after having them ported, new guides, larger valves, and seats. Looks like they were milling the heads to get them to a certain size and noticed the outer chambers were a little bit smaller than the inners (up to 8cc difference).

I remember that issue

Thanks for the info Mike! I'll check the chamber CC's before I do anything. I looked a little further at them and was surprised that the exh seat sunk in the head. I thought the 452's were suppose to have hardened seats.

The Ebay link wouldn't allow me to see what you purchase Jeff because I'm not the seller, or buyer.
