What did you do to your Coronet this Week ....???
aslbow Wrote:Well last week was slow since I have a nasty cold. But, I did do a few things...

I am installing a complete 2001 Audi A-6 Quattro interior. Including everything from the firewall back to the rear seats. The dash had to be trimmed to fit the "Express" a little along the front edge. I made some brackets from 3/16 steel plate to mount it up. Now I have to fab up some sheet metal to bring the center of the 67 Coronet floor hump up to the bottom of the 2001 center tower and console assembly. Once that's worked out I can slide the heater/a/c box in front of the tower under the dash and put the Audi Bose Symphony radio, climate controls(dual) etc. back into the tower. Have to relocate my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 12 way power leather buckets back about 4 inches from the stock holes to give me room to slide in and out and not have my knees up against the dash. I will have to rig up a remote shift arm since the console sets back from stock location about 9 inches. No sweat. The Express is coming along...

Very nice... do you plan on using the Audi steering wheel setup on it?

I can't even wrap my mind around taking a complete interior out of a newer foreign car and installing it into a vintage Coronet. This car really should be featured in the "Modernize Your Coronet" thread so that we can follow it's progress without having individual posts being lost on various threads over time.
