New to the board and building a 67 Coronet 440 with my boys
#11
California jokes haha but at least I got a rust free B body and didn't have to grind and weld to get if. On the serious side thanks to all for the warm welcome. Cool site. Friendly folks with a lot of nice cars. If I go to any Mopar meets out here I'll post pix. and if anybody needs a car out here I can check it out. Buying parts and they don't offer shipping. I can pick up and ship. Networking helps us all keep them running. Mopar or no car!

Nice looking Coronet, of course, I might be a little partial to 67. Keep us updated on the progress.

It's been a while but we have been busy with our build. We now have interior and a Magnum force K member along with a bunch of new and restored parts. We are still not done yet but we are getting closer. It been difficult finding parts. Even harder finding good parts and almost impossible finding the right parts! Thanks for looking Brendan Charlie and Drake!

Welcome Brendan, Charlie and Drake,

I apologize for being late to welcome you guy's to the DCR, but I do really like your bright Yellow 67 Coronet! I've owned my bright Yellow 66 Coronet 500 since 1989 and have heard just about ALL of the "eye searing" jokes regarding my color choice, but hey, these old Mopars are all about being different and having fun right?

Anyway, if you need help with part numbers, or finding parts for your cool project, some here on the DCR will tell you that I can help with both of those tasks and I'd be extremely pleased to help two fine young men develop their love of of the Mopar hobby and Coronets in particular!

Maybe your sons would enjoy seeing my now 27 year old son Rick's 1972 Dart Swinger at the time he purchased it back in 2003 at age 17 and after it was restored to see what they can accomplish with lots of hard work and listening to their fathers loving guidance! This 1967 Coronet project will become SO much more to both of them than just an old car, trust me on that one.

Richard

My son on the day that he, his mom and me picked up his Dart back in 2003. An original California car that then moved to Arizona with it's original owner, so it was a nice rust free car to start with and was fairly mechanically sound and driveable.

His Dart's engine compartment as it looked back in 2003 before restoration. Yep, there was lots of clean-up work needed here!

His Dart's engine compartment after being soda blasted at my friends body shop back in 2005 as the cars major 2 year restoration work began.

His Dart now as it looks after being restored with help from our friends.

For some unknown reason, nobody seems to take me seriously............
