1879It looks like it's leaking from between pan and gasket

No more leaks, and the gasket is re useable.

Is that photo the Pan with the drain plug or the 42 RE pan? What gasket is that? Remember it's way too east to overtighten the pan bolts. Use an inch pound torque wrench.

Pan with drain plug. Don't have other stuff yet. I'm also considering replacing the bolts. I'm going straight edge pan again. just for fun i'll straight edge trans maybe check for level ness. I don't have 1500 dollars to replace it right now. Got to sent son to his mom's for a few weeks this summer. I' got the majority of the parts gathered up to rebuild front end. Will start that in June
