On Sunday I finally had some free time and attempted to do the alignment but it was not to be. After playing around with it for a while I could still not get the -5 degrees of camber I wanted. I was able to get 3.6 degrees of caster, which is plenty but then one of my cam adjuster bolts stripped out. 1 step forward & 2 steps back. Not sure why I cant get the desired camber - it may be due to the non-original spindles. I have another trick up my sleeve to try and get more negative camberĀ  - until next time!

Always seems to me the drivers side is the tough one. Do you have a way to check SAI there?

Steering axis inclination. How you read if a spindle or? is the cause of the alignment issue. Say one spindle is bent it will give you + or - reading and hard to see with the eye.
On my Lite a line machine there is a scale which is to read similar to a caster swing.

I don't have any way to check that. You would think that if a spindle was bent more than likely it would be bent up. That would give you more negative camber. Both sides are pretty equal. When I took it apart all the adjuster cams were rotated all or most of the way in (towards engine) After I got it back together I put all the cams at neutral but when I tried to align it the first time I had to rotate them all the way in to get even close to a workable alignment. Which was 0 to 1 degrees (positive) camber and 1 to 1.5 degrees of caster. I've been driving this car for 40 years, it has always tracked straight and steering effort was always super easy but also the car was always very twitchy - having 1 degree of caster or less would explain the easy steering wheel effort & the twitchiness because the spindle is effectively straight up and down. When I put the offset bushings in the upper arms I arranged them so that it brought the front of the a-arm "out" to get more caster, and the rear "in" to get more negative camber. Unfortunately I did not get the extra negative camber but I did get the extra positive caster I wanted. Also unfortunately any time you make a camber adjustment it affects the caster & vise versa, so sometimes you have to find a happy meduim. I believe that any time this car was aligned in the past the tech just got it the best he could and shipped it. Before this front end alignment learning experience I always contributed the steering twitchiness to the steering box or the suspension being wore-out. I now believe the issue is in the alignment. The whole reason I rebuilt this front end was because the car would try to change lanes when you hit a bump, the bad lower lower control arm bushings and the wallowed out bushing shaft hole in the K-member would explain that. None of the other suspension parts were wore out.

I always wanted to play around with a set of Spc upper control arms.
But they were so expensive.
I went with adjustable strut to cheat some caster where I wanted it and it works great. Just make sure you use rubber lower control arm bushings.
Your issues are not far off from the majority of cars.

If your turning a tight u turn corner and tap a curb too hard you will more likely bend a spindle + direction.
But if you jump it like Duke boys it'll definitely go - haha.

I thought about getting adjustable strut rods for it but right now my issue is camber. I remember reading about certain year(s)/ body spindles that you shouldn't use on these swaps because they screw up the geometry. You remember hearing anything like that Andy? Maybe that is my problem.

I run them on mine and along with Andy's alignment specs even the guy who aligned our Busch car was amazed at it's handling. If don't believe me, as Kevin as he's drven in it on roads you'll only see outside Vegas in the mountains.

And I was running A body spindles pulled from junkyard.
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.
