I don't know the rules about links, on here, but E-bay has a aluminum intake that just says Mopar Aluminum 318, 340, 360. It is identical to the Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, for around half the price, or close. Has the same specs and description as the big name. Anyone seen the one I am talking about, or even had one. If I won't get in trouble, I can post a link!

Main thing I was wondering about is; it say it will fit about all small blocsk, but it does mention early 273 and 318's with 4 bbl heads. what would be the difference between the 2 bbl and the 4bbl heads?

sounds like the made in china crosswind intake. I`ve read about them and no one seems to have any fitment issues, the one issue people have is where its made.

I've ran across that before. May have to do a little more research, see if it is the crosswind knock off. Can't beat the price though! I'm looking into the budget 318 build, try to get close to 400 horse!

I think the issue they are talking about are the early 273 heads that have the intake bolts drilled at a slightly different angle than all the rest of the small block LA heads. if you have a 318 with the original heads you have nothing to worry about, the odd 273 heads were long gone when the LA 318 came out.

Thanks, that is what I was wondering. The intake, in question, is made for several different bolt angles. It did say something about different porting on some heads, maybe having a different size / style of intake port??

i think they can be mounted to magnum or LA heads. magnums have vertical intake bolts. the intake probably has the bigger 340/360 style ports, but it will work with 318 sized ports.

That's what I was unsure about, thank you very much. I never been into a dodge engine before! I am planning on running 360 heads on it, eventually. May just go ahead and get the intake for later. Start stockpiling parts!

The intake ended up being a Eliminator from ProComp Electronics. It is a air gap intake with 2 set of bolt holes in it,, W/ plugs for the set not used. Same exact look and rpm range as the rpm air gap. Best part is it was a brand new pull off that had never been run, just sat on a display engine, still sealed in plastic, and I paid $124 for it! Eventually we will see how it runs!
