What is the fuel/air ratio at just before it starts to break up? Stock 440 six pack and Hemi cars run 3/8 fuel lines and mech. pumps over 5000 rpm's with no problem.
They have more carb. bowls to keep full then a single four bbl. I would up grade the valve springs to the recommend ones the cam requires before getting to crazy with the fuel system.

Not exactly a bung -its a 5/8" pickup at the back of the tank............
