Then I decided to take out the old headliner and work on the inside.
I had to remove a bit of surface rust, mostly just a light scaling, then sprayed it with a rust inhibitor.

After it was all clean and dry I installed HushMat on the roof.
And over that I glued up a foil faced closed cell foam.
The difference in noise and heat reduction is amazing!
At this point I removed the old windshield and trim pieces and prepped the frame for new glass.
I have a friend from high school that works in a glass shop so he cut me a couple new pieces from a template I made from the old glass. Got a new gasket from Bernbaum and had a couple car guys come over to help put the new windshield in.
Got the trim back on and called it good!

That day we also cut out the back glass, prepped that frame, and roped it back in with a new gasket and a stainless trim piece I snagged on recent a trip to Kansas.

And after:
I think it really enhances the whole look of the back

Seam sealer and rubberized paint FTW!
I did end up finding an access panel from a DeSoto, only had to weld a small piece in it to make it right for the Dodge, it was like new and fit perfectly! Painted it up and laid some closed cell foam on it for the install.
