After several years of slowly restoring my '69 Coronet R/T, I am toying with selling it. It is about 75%+ finished, but recently my health hasn't allowed me to devote much time or effort to the project. It is a #s matching 440 auto car, with factory air, black vinyl roof, console, buckets, and Magnum 500s. The biggest $$$ part of paint and body work is mostly done, with final assembly of front fenders, doors, windows, hood, trunk lid, bumpers and grill left. Original color was Y2 Sunfire Yellow, but I had it re-done in V2 Hemi Orange, and all paint and body work is complete, including complete engine compartment. I've had the bumpers re-chromed, and I have a brand new TTI repro 2.5" H-pipe exhaust in the box, complete with new SS tips. I had the original 727 rebuilt by a local Mopar club member who only professionally rebuilds Mopar trans. Engine wise, I refreshed the entire upper end with a new Comp cam XE268 with lifters, pushrods, rocker shafts, bolts, and a fresh set of Indy 906 heads ported and O/S valves. I've got most new brake and trans lines, wheel cylinders, and trim parts for the Magnum 500s. I have new stripe kit, new door, window, weather stripping and fender seals for it. I also have the original build sheet and a service manual for it.
I've replaced both back quarter panels with new, new trunk floor with trunk floor extensions, and replaced both front fenders with desert California rust-free ones. I've gotten new door handles and chrome remote mirror already. Some trim still needs to be replaced or restored, but that is minor $$ in scheme of what has already been done.
It pains me to think of selling this, but as I said, recent health issues have given me 2nd thoughts that maybe someone who could finish it should enjoy it. With initial cost plus what I've spent on paint, body work and accessories & trim so far, I probably have an easy $40K+ into it.
