I took the old '65 out for ride today at lunch time. Stopped to check the air pressure in the tires. While I was loading up the front tires with air out of the corner of my eye saw a guy at the back of my car. When I stood up he was all bent over the trunk. I said hello and asked how he was. He immediately blurted out, "Do you want to sell the badge?" I'm like, "badge?" What the hell is he talking about? Then I noticed he was pointing at the Dodge badge/emblem thingy on the trunk. I looked at him like he was nuts which must have indicated "Go ahead and make me an offer." Which he did but I did not mean at all. I said my no thanks and goodbye and got out of there. While chalking it up to one oddball, when I got home I googled the emblem and man, those suckers aren't cheap. Got to be careful where I park..... I have so much to learn

Things that make you go...hhhmmmm. Hopefully he doesn't find out where you live or park your '65! It takes all kinds to make this world go around but every once in a while a real head scratcher comes your way. Been through this myself more than once. On my 1970 Challenger I used to own, I had trouble keeping the R/T and 440 Magnum hood signs on the car and the perps left NASTY screwdriver marks on the paint when they pryed them off. I ended up just leaving them off but replaced them and just kept them in the garage.

People are strange and will ask anything they want regardless of where you are.
I had a few people ask if my car was for sale. Even people who pull in my driveway and ask if i want to sell it, told them no and they said "but i didn't give you an offer yet' . LOL
Guys that did the alignment asked how long I had the car and then asked if I was ready to tell stories about how i used to own a '65
Anyway - those emblems go for a lot of money!! I have no intention of buying one.
