Motor Home Trans
#1
I have a 440 motor and trans that came out of a 1971 motor home. I know the motor is basically the same, as a matter of fact a lot of them used six pack internals, but is the trans a direct fit into a 69 b-body? Because of the big difference in wheelbase, is the tail section of this trans the same length as a b-body?

It'll bolt right in. The only oddball length tailshaft I know of is from 4x4 trucks with a divorced transfer case (really short) and a fixed (not sliding) yoke. Mother Mopar made a lot of things interchangeable to keep costs down.

They put those short shaft trans in RVs also.

Some had park brake drum on end with flange, mostly in class A ones. 1960s and 70s

I do have one in my 383 `71 Powerwagon divorced transfer case, I was going to add the parkbrake drum but I heard they don't work very well.

Post a pic of the tailshaft in question.

I have been to every one. My buddy lives at 11 and Woodward. We get up at 6 am to grab a spot at his corner, right next to Einsteins Bagels. We have been in at least half a dozen Berkley parades on friday.
