Need to replace the 20+ year tires that are on the car....they were flat and have some dry cracking. What is the max tire size I could fit in the rear on the stock rims? I like the look of a wider tire in the back and narrow tire up front.

Are they 14"? Because if they are, your selection will be much more limited than with 15"

i used to have a 70 coronet with 14x5.5" wheels. it had 235/60 in the rear and 225/60 in front. i would think it could work on a 65 too. my 65 has 15x7 rear w/255/60 and 15x6 front w/ 215/60, (torque thrust wheels)

15" really helps fill the wheelwell!!
