A story for all my fellow Mopar fans
#1
hello, this is the elevatorman
Here is my story; Back in 1982 I was a young teenager; My dad told me to get in the car next thing I know we're on an airplane on our way to florida to go to the Fire Cracker 400; We went to a long time friend of my dad's who had a bus painted like Richard Petty's race car; He also had a nice old muscle car; Well we went to the race and back; Before we left to fly home to Ohio; I asked my dad's friend if he was interested in selling that old car; His reply was No but I'll keep you in mind; Well on Thanksgiving Day 2013 my Dad called me and said hey you need to give my friend ( Bud ) a call So I made the call; Well he asked if was still interested in that old Muscle Car; I'm PLEASED TO SAY I KNOW OWN A 1968 CORONET R/T 440 4-SPEED CAR; Car has had 1 repaint and new carpet and seat cover's; Here is my PROBLEM BUILD SHEET AND FENDER TAG are missing; Which Bud had informed me of that; He's an elderly gentleman and just can't seem to remember what he did with them ( Lost Over time ); IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP IDENTIFY/VERIFY THIS CAR; Dash has remained untouched Vin is intact; I will be looking ( Hoping to find a second build sheet up in behind the dash ) Car has 75,000 original miles and is above average driver Quality; I'm stickler for details IF ANYONE CAN HELP LET ME KNOW AND THANK'S FOR READING Thanks elevatorman

IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE THAT CAN HELP IDENTIFY/VERIFY THIS CAR?

Not sure what you are looking for. Are you questioning whether or not it is a real R/T? What does the VIN tell you? Without the broadcast sheet or fender tag you will not know any options other than the obvious ones.

Please don't let the next question be "How do I get a fender tag?"

This is probably all very innocent, but especially with MOPAR people, asking about replacement fender tags is blasphemous! Don't take another step down this road..trust me Wink
