Okay. I'm sure all of you bucket seat coronet owners know how terribly finicky the center console is. The lid attaches to 5 or 6 self tapping stems that hold it onto the hinge. Mine of course is loose. Do any of you have a good technique on how to get this sucker lined up and to stay tight? It's just a small thing that's more annoying than anything else. But figured I'd come on here and see what ya'll have done to prevent or fix this design problemo.

I would love this info too, having 'adjusted' mine on the weekend..and now realize I should have left it alone LOL! It's like NTSC, never the same way twice!

If you align mine and tighten the nuts(three different sizes) mine rattles. When my daughter rides with me she rests her hand on it to stop it from rattling.
Her : "Why don't you fix this rattle it is the only one in the whole car?"
Me: "workin on it"

Yeah. I have no clue how to fix this thing. It's annoying though. Duct tape and JB Weld.

Are the studs stripped? And if they are, maybe you can find slightly smaller acorn nuts?
