Revesrse light switch ?

I looking for a reverse light switch and cant find it at the local auto parts store . It a 1966 dodge coronet deluxe, 273,auto,no ac
I looked at rock auto and they didnt have it either ?? They mostly have anything

Are you sure you need a switch? The little plastic week on the coloumn could be missing. It actuates the switch. Mine was missing. Had to make one using a 1/4-20 shoulder bolt. Sorry it's such a bad picture.

The little tab you are talking about is still there .I tested the switch and it bad .Going to try to take it apart and see if I can fix it .Found one on ebay for 90 bucks!!!! Not ready to pay that much yet . Still looking for one .

You might be able to clean it. It's a pretty simple design.

I'm sure I have one somewhere, let me know if yours can't be cleaned. Most of these old switches can be cleaned.

Interesting!
My 67 Coronet revers back up lights are always on when the car is running. I pulled the bulbs to keep from getting a ticket.

I assumed it was switched at the tranny (727)
Going to dig into this on my car.
