Lower quarter panel
#1
1929The lower quarter panel behind rear tires rusted. I cannot find any lower replacement panels. Looking at the 72 Charger replacement lower rear quarter panel they look almost the same shape. Would that work? Or does anyone know where I can get the patch panels. I've looked at all the usual places and e bay.

The only thing the quarter panels in the CL ad have in common with his car is the year.
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

Hey Coronet14, I'm in a similar situation, but your quarters look almost too good to replace! I would try and patch up the ones you have... I've got a '71 4 door and was looking at the Charger patch panels, as well. I found the measurements on the amd website, and the Charger panel is a few inches shorter than the same measurement on our Coronets, all of it from the back end of the wheel arch to where it meets up with the rear valance panel.
Seriously, I wish mine looked as good as yours!

The left lower quarter is rusted and bent. I can try and fix it trying to decide what would be easier. The right side has filler and bubbles under the paint along with the rust hole. I'm gonna have to take it all down to metal to see how bad it is. I'll put up some pics. 19441945194619471948

I would also say that those are repairable too. Get some 16 or 18 ga sheet stock. A way to cut it. A way to shape it. Cut out old crap and wire feed weld in your patches. Grind and fill. Prime and paint.

I've got a stick welder haven't used in years. I'm gonna start practicing before I start on panels. I'm going to try to save them. Thanks
