Worked on car a little... Picked up a steering box and linkage from a 67 mercury comet. It looked like it would work for me. I can't use my stock steering box due to clearance with the starter. Mocked it up and looks like it might just work without much work! WOW What do you think? Will it work? Seems to good to be true...

Looks like it fits nicely but how about exhaust manifold clearance?

The exhaust manifold should not be a problem as long as I get a exhaust mainfold that dumps downward at the rear... Which is ok because I was planning on rnning a stock stlye manifold anyway. I will also be shorting the steering shaft a little to connect a universal joint to my stock steering column. So I should be ok. I'll keep you posted!Smile

Couple more things to do on steering. Need to cut and isolator pad for behind gear box and add lock nuts. Also need to mount drag link and re-paint rail. I'll keep you posted!! I think it came out ok, What do you think
