I bet Jeff is not going to run one of those plastic intakes.

Actually they work quite well, I bought a new stock one for the 5.7 going in the dakota. This one I'll probably reuse the stock intake. The only motors that have the issue with pieces finding their way into the intake are the 2008 and older motors that drop valve seats(no cam issues on these)

Gotcha... they have the blurb about replacing the intake even on my 22 motor...

According to someone who works in the Trenton plant, the only known issue with any 5.7 motor is cracked exhaust manifolds and broken manifold bolts. The cam thing Mopar refuses to acknowledge, and it's very hit and miss. Some people want a class action lawsuit/recall on their 2012 trucks with over 200K on them when the cam finally wipes.
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

Haha! I've been told I'm more of a dulcich. I'm working in the comfort of my basement, it's where most great motors are built
