Glad to be here! I hope to learn a lot about my 1965 Dodge Coronet 500.

Welcome Rob! Happy to have another 65 owner here. I've had mine since 2000, I have done much to it except drive it for the past 20 years

I bought my 500 from my mechanic.  I've seen it on and off for 20yrs at his shop.  Turns out it was his wife's grandfather's car he bought new in 1965. 2yrs ago it was in a service bay and I bought it.

It's got a 318 poly-wide block, automatic with console, power steering, power brakes and buckets. It has 160k miles. It needs a floor from the firewall to the trunk, rear quarters, 2 front fenders, and an interior. 

I don't know how much a floor will cost. I live on LI in NY. I'm not going to restore it. I wanna drive it.

Welcome to the site!! How much floors will cost will vary from shop to shop. If handy with a welder, it's an easy project to do yourself. There's basically only 2 companies that make them, AMD and Sherman and Associates. AMD are the Mopar authorized restoration ones, Sherman are the aftermarket that been selling patch panels when I was replacing VW floor pans with them in the early 1980's. AMD will be more accurate, but you'll pay $$ for them.

Kramer's is a good source for parts, he specializes in 62-65 B bodies... There was also a place in CT that sells them, but I can't remember their names. And if you can get to Rhode Island, Auto Rust Techs specializes in fixing up rusty cars, they been doing it for 30+yrs now.

One thing to remember about rust, what you see is just the beginninig of the problem.. it's what you can't see that will bite you (been there, done that, got the t-shirt)

Just a quick note to let you know that the body shop was able to find the floor, trunk, rear quarters, and the front fenders. I stopped by the shop about a week or so ago to take a look at the car. The fenders were removed and the front seats were missing as well.  

I believe the new/almost new fenders, etc. were to be shipped in another week. 

I can't wait for the car to be done.
