66 Coronet 500 Emblem
#1
I'm looking for a 66 Coronet 500 emblem. The "500" actually overlays the standard Coronet emblem I just need the"500." Any leads are appreciated.

Do they fit `65 and `66 like this seller says?

Hello j57little and Andy,

Yes, both the 1965 and the 1966 Coronet 500 models use the same "500" fender emblems. Below is the information from my 1965 and 1966 Chrysler Factory Parts Books. While the "500" emblems are the same part number for both model years, the emblem attaching nuts are not, but I would assume that either part number for the emblem attaching nuts would work with the emblems.

From 1965 Chrysler Factory Parts Book:

Part number: 2449 936 aka 2449936
Part description: Numeral, fender side, 500
Applications: all 1965 Coronet 500 models
Quantity used: 2 per car (same part number used on both sides of the car)
Current availability: No company that I know of is reproducing these "500" emblems at this time, so used or nos parts are the only solution at this time.

Additional parts needed with this "500" emblem

Part number: 6023 260 aka 6023260
Part description: Nut ("500" emblem attaching nut)
Applications: all 1965 Coronet 500 models
Quantity used: 4 per car (2 per emblem)
Current availability: Unknown

From 1966 Chrysler Factory Parts Book:

Part number: 2449 936 aka 2449936
Part description: Name Plate, fender side, 500
Applications: all 1966 Coronet 500 models
Quantity used: 2 per car (same part number used on both sides of the car)
Current availability: No company that I know of is reproducing these "500" emblems at this time, so used or nos parts are the only solution at this time.

Additional parts needed with this "500" emblem

Part number: 6026 404 aka 6026404
Part description: Nut ("500" emblem attaching nut)
Applications: all 1966 Coronet 500 models
Quantity used: 4 per car (2 per emblem)
Current availability: Unknown

Strange the nuts are different. Maybe one has sealer? Or are they cosmetic in that they mount where you would see them requiring a “prettier” nut?

I just wanted to post an update on that nos 1966 500 emblem that we were talking about above that was for sale on Ebay. It sold this morning for $399.89. I hope that whoever purchased it has plans to reproduce them as they are impossible to find any more.
