Yes, that's the horn. Its exactly the same as my Dad's '49 truck. I know they changed the style of the horns later on, but for quite a number of years they all looked just like this one. Your horns may have been changed to a more modern style. The black box next to the horn, I believe is a relay to operate the horn. Don't recall for sure.
Your air cleaner should be an oil bath type of cleaner. I remember them being black, maybe yours was painted red for some reason? And of course, the oil filter is the black cylinder just above the starter and next to the coil. Its a replaceable cartridge type filter, not the spin on type we're used to nowadays.
