Passenger outside mirrors were not a factory installed option for the 1966 Coronet models. I'm sure that dealerships installed some mirrors at the dealerships if a customer wanted one after purchasing the car and there are reproduction parts suppliers that offer a passenger side non remote control mirror that matches the factory offered drivers side remote control mirror if you wanted to install one, but it would not be factory correct if that makes any difference to you.
Just one example of the reproduction non remote passenger side mirrors that are being sold at a well known Mopar reproduction parts supplier called B/E&A Restoration Parts located in the United States in the state of Ohio. My suggestion would be to purchase a passenger side mirror that matches your original factory installed drivers side mirror so that they look like a matched set and you'll be good to go! Most of the 1966 Coronet 500's that I've seen including my own car as shown below came with the single post drivers side remote control mirror. Does your 66 500 have a different style drivers side mirror?

Looks like this:8025]Non- Remote mirror.. (Sorry -small picture) Maybe not a Coronet mirror...? (but the ad says Coronet also,,). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mopar-Twin-Post-...qG&vxp=mtr But I like the style/ design of it very much so it's there to stay... Please bring some light on this one....:-) BR Anders

Hello BR,
There were several different options for the outside drivers side rear view mirrors for the various 1966 Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler models which I've listed below in two sections from the 1966 Chrysler Factory Parts Book in my own format. I must admit that I've never done much research on these mirrors as most all of the 1966 Coronet 500 models that I've seen do not have that style of mirror on them. Please know that I'm not saying that it's not an original mirror to your car, or downgrading the mirror in any way, I'm just mentioning that I've not seen that style mirror on a 500 trim level Coronet before. With that being said, below are the options for the outside drivers side rear view mirrors for the various 1966 B-Body Dodge Coronet and Plymouth Belvedere models, as well as for the other 1966 models listed below that were equipped with the same mirror options. 1966 A-Body Dodge Dart 1966 A-Body Plymouth Valiant 1966 C-Body Dodge Polara 1966 C-Body Dodge Monaco 1966 C-Body Plymouth Fury 1966 Chrysler models Section # 23-21-3 (Mirrors) 1966 Factory Parts Book section number: 23-21-3 Part number: 2292 194 Description: mirror package, rear view, outside, clear glass Applications: Taxi, Police Applications: (R-L) Plymouth Belvedere I, (P-L) Plymouth Fury I, Applications: (W-L) Dodge Coronet Deluxe, (D-L) Dodge Polara Application: Plymouth Valiant, Dodge Dart 1966 Factory Parts Book section number: 23-21-3 Part number: 2292 195 Description: mirror package, rear view, outside, non-glare glass Applications: Taxi, Police Applications: (R-L) Plymouth Belvedere I, (P-L) Plymouth Fury I, Applications: (W-L) Dodge Coronet Deluxe, (D-L) Dodge Polara 1966 Factory Parts Book section number: 23-21-3 Part number: 2299 574 Description: mirror package, outside, rear view Applications: Plymouth, all Applications: Dodge, all Applications: Chrysler, all 1966 Factory Parts Book section number: 23-21-3 Part number: 2802 835 Description: mirror package, door outside remote control rear view Applications: Plymouth, all Applications: Dodge, all Applications: Chrysler, all There are also a few outside rear view mirror listings in the front of the 1966 Chrysler Parts Book in the Accessories section. I cannot confirm this, but I believe that the mirrors listed in this Accessories section were most likely parts that were sold through the Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler dealerships Parts Departments over the counter to customers that wanted to add a mirror to their vehicle after it was purchased and delivered, or used when the dealership itself wanted to add a mirror to a vehicle it had in stock as opposed to the mirrors listed above that were installed at the factory as the vehicles went down the assembly line. Section # 1-76-1 (Accessories) 1966 Factory Parts Book section number: 1-76-1 Part number: 2802 254 Description: mirror package, outside, manual, left (drivers) side Applications: Plymouth, all Applications: Dodge, all Applications: Chrysler, all 1966 Factory Parts Book section number: 1-76-1 Part number: 2807 048 Description: mirror package, outside remote control rear view Applications: Plymouth, all Applications: Dodge, all Applications: Chrysler, all Application: not for Imperial models Unfortunately, the Factory Parts Books do not show detailed pictures of these mirrors, so I am unable to verify which actual mirror is on your Coronet. The only way to try and verify that is to remove the mirror from the car and see if there is a factory seven digit part number stamped on it somewhere on the base of the mirror that matches one of the part numbers listed above and that's really not a good option. I'm sorry that I can't be more specific regarding which mirror you have, but your Coronet does not have a specific factory option code for an outside drivers side mirror stamped on the fender tag, so as mentioned, I'd need a part number from the mirror itself to verify that information for you. Richard

You can also try "66-67 b bodys" on Facebook, some one there would surely know.
Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!

Hello Anders,
Well, after looking through all of the Chrysler Factory Parts Books from model year 1960 through 1969, I can tell you that part number 299521 that you've given me is not listed in any of those model year parts books anywhere. I've also checked for this part number in several of my other resources without finding it either, so even though I do see folks selling that dual post mirror under that part number all over Ebay, I can't give you any information on it. Since it's not listed in any of the model year Factory Parts Books that the Ebay sellers are saying that the mirror fits on, I'd have to go back to my original suspicion that it's a mirror that Chrysler had supplied to their dealerships to sell over the counter in their Parts Departments, as if the mirror was a factory option for cars being built on the assembly line, it would be listed in the various Factory Parts Books for the model years it was used. The closest that I could find to the the ones being sold on Ebay (first picture below) was in a 1966 Chrysler parts catalog called "Chrysler Parts 1966 Accessories Car Appearance And Maintenance Materials Parts Managers Catalog" (second and third pictures below). It is a cool looking mirror and you really like it, so if you have a matching passenger side mirror, go ahead and install it and enjoy it! Richard
