Man I do have quite the reputation!

Andy, I have no idea, both wagons here have power windows, I thought they were all power, didn't know it was available as manual too.

Hello Andy,

The "up / down" tailgate window activation switch is located on the dashboard and the window lift motor is located in the tailgate on the regulator just as they are located in the doors and quarter window areas on other body styles. I can't tell from the wiring diagrams in my 1966 Coronet and Dart Factory Service Manual where the power window switch I posted from Ebay is located on the car, but I'd think it's located in the dashboard area as well. If you have a copy of a 1966 Factory Service Manual, please look at the following pages and see what you think. I'm sure Rich can verify this information as well from his wagon.

Page 8-101, section #8, electrical section. This page shows the Coronet wagon body wiring harness diagram and includes tailgate wiring.
Page 23-40, section #23, body and frame section. This page shows the tailgate power window wiring diagram and speaks about the power window on the tailgate.
Page 23-41, section #23, body and frame section. This page continues the conversation regarding the power window on the tailgate.

I'd post these pages here on the DCR Andy, but due to concerns regarding possible copyright infringements, it's best that I don't.

Richard

Richard, they are calling it a limit switch, so it most likely is located on a moving part of the window mechanism to stop the motor once the window has gone as far as they want.

Hello Rich,

I agree my friend, below is the description of the part from the sellers Ebay auction and this particular part is also shown in the 1966, 1967 and 1968 Factory Parts Books to be located inside of the tailgate assembly.

Quote:You are bidding on 1 NEW OLD STOCK switch P/n 2661600. This is the REAR tailgate window lift limit ON THE TAILGATE for ALL of the following STATION WAGON models; PLYMOUTH; Belvedere; Satellite; 1966; 1967; 1968; ALL. Fury I; Fury II; Fury IIl; Suburban; 1968; ALL. DODGE; Coronet; 440; 500; Monaco; Polara; 1966; 1967; 1968; ALL. CHRYSLER; Newport; New Yorker; Town & Country; 1967; 1968; ALL.

And the description of this part from the 1966, 1967 and 1968 Factory Parts Books.

Part number:2661 600
1966, 1967, 1968 Factory Parts Book section number: 23-54-167
Description: switch, electric window lift, limit on tailgate
Number used per car: 1
Applications: 1966 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body station wagon models
Applications: 1967 Dodge and Plymouth B and C-Body and Chrysler station wagon models
Applications: 1968 Dodge and Plymouth C-Body and Chrysler station wagon models

NOTE #1:
I do not show this part number as being correct for any Plymouth B-Body station wagon models in 1968 as stated in the Ebay auction.
NOTE #2: The Ebay auction lists this part as being used on ALL individual models listed in the auction, but as we can see with Andy and Lauri's 1966 Coronet station wagon Morgan, their rear tailgate window is a manual set up, not power assisted.
