this drawing is floating around the internet and it was originally done as a two door but I had a crafty friend modify it to look like my wagon.

The odd thing is that the original artist drew it as a 500 and if I could change it to R/T I would but either way I like it. I have a printout of this on my refrigerator :p

500 is cool but I think the factory should have made an R/T wagon ....maybe a few HEMI powered ones ......it is written that in 68 every coronet was available with a HEMI option and there are two Coronet 440s build that are HEMI powered. If the R/T wagon would have been made then it would make sense that it would have had a 440 as standard and a HEMI as the only option.....just like an R/T 2 door or a GTX

In reality the coronet 500 wagon was built with a 383 4 bbl. as top option and most big block cars are having a 383 2bbl. and majority of coronet 500 wagons having a 318. The slant six was not available on coronet 500 wagons but was on coronet 440 wagons. I always thought it would be cool to have a B-body with a slanty I am not Worthy

one unique thing about a wagon is the massive wheel wells........I would bet this is an unintentional feature from an engineering standpoint but a huge advantage to hot rodders and generally crazy people like me :p

I was originally thinking to lose the original 14 inch pizza cutter wheels and wheel covers and clean up a set of Magnum wheels I have but really the magnums seem a bit small for this wheel well. I had a standard 14x6 rally wheel on it with a modest street tire and I was amazed with the available room, so I might go with a set of 15x7 cop wheels I have. picking wheels is almost as bad as how some girls pick out shoes ....they have to be perfect, no more, no less.

Part of me wants to replace the rear end with a moser dana 60 maybe slightly narrowed to accommodate some good sized slicks.......the only thing that stops me from getting crazy is the fact that one you start going fast.....fast is never enough. Then we would be talking subframe connectors and stronger driveshaft and then the 727 would then be inadequate with that one way sprauge problem ( I like my toes and feet) :p ....then we would be talking six pack setup and so on......whewwww probably a better idea to just keep it on the street and keep driving like a responsible citizen Big GrinWink:p

A six pack set up is really not out of the question of those items ....out of all those items it would probably be the most fun. I have a dart swinger with a 340 and I borrowed a six pack set up for it a few years ago and it sure gets in you blood.........you never run out carb and manifold which is scary and exciting all at the same time ....enough to make your hands and feet feel tingly and the sound of a screaming engine at wide open throttle sure stays with you. I am not Worthy

There is a 69 Satellite wagon that hits the cruise nights up this way. It's green with wood trim. The only thing that makes it look like a non-stock wagon is the 2 indents in the hood with 4 letters in em..
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

those tail gates are really cool. my friend has a 72 fury wagon that has one. I got him a spare tail gate out of the junkyard a few years ago. the gate and hinge was the 2nd heaviest thing I've lifted/moved by myself, the first being an 8 lug dana 60 rear with huge drums(now in my coronet after some mods)
