My 66 coronet is in getting paint as we speak, it's my first project and not sure which company would supply a chrome "kit" I can find bits and pieces on different sites, but not everything I'm looking for. Like the bumpers and grille. Thanks for any help

Not much out there.. eBay and Craigslist sites are the places to look. All will be used or NOS. $$$$$

Because the trim pieces on a 66 are single year, single model, and in some pieces, specific to a single trim line, very few parts are reproduced. No one makes a "kit" for them.

For used stuff, there is here, Craigslist, Ebay,etc..

Okay, thanks for the help. Chrome restoration might be another route I could take. I'm assuming it's probably not ridiculously expensive?

What trim level is your '66? Is it a Coronet Deluxe, a Coronet 440, or a Coronet 500? Also what body style is it? Is it a 2 door sedan, a 2 door hardtop, a convertible, or a 4 door sedan? This information is important in regards to which of the few reproduction parts that are being offered will work on your particular car.
On all of the 1966 Coronets, no matter which trim level, or body style, the front grille assembly, the front leading edge hood trim and if a Coronet 500 model, some of the rear trunk lid mounted trim is not chromed, it's anodized aluminum, so getting those kinds of parts professionally restored is very expensive. Re-chroming bumpers and pot metal parts will vary widely depending on what quality you're looking for and how far away from the company you deal with is located in regards of shipping costs for larger heavier parts such as bumpers, so you will need to do some on-line research to find companies that meet your needs and budget.

the price of rechroming parts might give you a heart attack when you find out what it costs, or maybe not. in my experience and from what I have read on the web tricity plating seems to be the best. google their name you will find them.

When restoring any older Mopar vehicle, especially cars such as the '66 and '67 B-Body Dodge and Plymouth models, this is a part of the restoration that many folks under estimate the difficulty of accomplishing and rarely budget enough money for. Between not having many exterior trim and sheet metal parts being reproduced and many of the parts being very specific to certain trim levels, this part of the restoration is usually only passed in difficulty to achieve by finding quality paint and body work.

It's a Coronet 500, 2 door hard top. I've managed to save a variety of pieces that can be worked with, but as far as the pieces covering the rockers, bumpers, and wheel well trim is too far gone.

You might also use the Jaxed mash site to. It's a online site that commingles Internet adds based on your search. Very usefull in trying to locate parts nation wide.
Personally I search all Craigslist by metro cities in the auto parts section then search by year and model.

we have trim from a 66 440 if any of that is usable for your car, front grille is very good. located in south jersey.
