soo...I seen a couple of coronets with the stripe around the rear of the car....
mine is a 67 500 model with the big trim down the side, but I have still seen it on a car or two and think looks good and different.
did any 67's come out with the rear stripe? only RT's? or?
any pics? thanks guys.

67's did not come from the factory with a rump stripe on them.
This going to be a question you'll get 3 answers to. 1) Do it, it looks cool. 2) Don't do it, it looks ugly. 3) It's your car, do what you like.
I'm of the #3 crowd.

Yep, it's your car do whatever. I would not do it to my '67 though.

My opinion is #2 but I'm going to say the politically correct #3.

I'll be politically incorrect and just say, "don't do it". These days its rare to see any 67 500 that still has it's side trim, and to make the 68 and up style bumble bee stripe look okay on a 67, you would really need to remove the side trim, and fill all the holes before repainting the car. Personally I like the 67 Coronet 500 side trim, and hate seeing it disappearing off the sides of 67 Coronets. Yes, people will put the bumble bee stripe on a 67 (as Chip Foose did on Overhaulin), but 68 was the first year any bumble bee stripes were used by the factory. Although I've seen the bumble bee stripes applied to just about anything Mopar, from 60's Barracudas and Chrysler Newports, to station wagons, I personally don't think it looks good on anything before the 68 model year.

Pick door #2. But I do like the dealer installed side stripe. Can someone get a pic of that here please.
