Tooling costs are always a major factor in producing cars at prices that folks can and will pay, so Chrysler used lots of various parts on many different models in order to save on those tooling costs. No use reinventing the wheel when you already have a perfectly good wheel on hand! Wink

In my humble opinion, you don't need cable t.v. or other forms of entertainment when you have Mopar Parts Books and Factory Service Manuals at your disposal! Rofl

Yea Richard,when I talked with Mike,he told me the 67 would not fit on a 66,then when I ordered the wheel,he wanted to see pics. Maybe tell him to log on here and see the wheel. I can't remember, are you running a 66 wheel or aftermarket?? I have a very very nice 66 horn ring that I need to get rid of,if anybody is interested and YOU will use it,pay the shipping and it's yours PM me if you want it!!!

New Steering Wheel

Well it only took me a few months,but finally got a new wheel put on. Yea after so many posts on if it would work or not,finally said to hell with it and do it. The 66 2 spoke wheel looks good, the 67 3 spoke looks even better. I did no modifications,it bolts right up. Like to thank Mike over at BE/A parts for the wheel and my good buddy down in sunny Florida Hemi Don for the horn ring. BTW if ya need parts, Don has given me permission for his contact info, he wants to start selling some of his parts,2 trailers full. PM if ya are interested. This nonsense about a 67 wheel not fitting on a 66 is put to rest Todd354835473546

That's a nice looking wheel and trim ring. If you look up the part number of that ring it says it fits a 64 Polara. But Mopar used them on white hat specials in 67.

I have one for my silver car

I thought the 3 spoke was introduced in 67,learn something new everyday

Your new steering wheel assembly looks fantastic Todd. Glad it was an easy install.

I must say though, after working with the parts books for awhile now, I've seen more than a few parts that will interchange between various model years and various A, B, C and E-Body platforms.

Mike Ross wasn't aware that the 1965 and 1966 B-Body 2 spoke steering wheels are interchangeable until I mentioned it to him after he first started reproducing and selling them. He didn't believe me at first, so he checked with one of his experts on the pre 1966 cars and after doing so, he came back to me and said son of a gun Richard, your right about that and now advertises them as such!
