What in the heck is holding the outer trim around the grill on . I got the center of it loose but the part the wraps around the fenders wont come loose . Is this ment to be a joke from the manufacturer ? Thanks . BooBoo

It's really not that bad. You need to remove your front splash apron, then using a 1/4 inch ratchet with a VERY long (like 18") extension I believe the nuts are either 11/32 or 3/8.

Starting the nuts back on are a different story...

Got it off . Of course most of the screws broke off the back of it . Not surprised , just the way it seems to go for me . Now its just another peice of junk in my garage . More unexpected money to be spent . Alot more time before the cars done . Jus thinkin out loud . I remember years ago a buddy of mine had a 36 Chevy project car . I went over one day just in time to see him beating the windows out of it with a jack . I,ll always remember how satisfied he looked when he was done . BooBoo

just read this tale of broken fasteners on your grill--why not just drill out the rest of the broken stud;use JB weld or actually tig weld a new bolt in place from behind so the grill still sits flush with the fender--I do this for people alot & youve saved your hard to replace & pricey grill surround
