Hello Muscle Car Coronet Enthisiusts
#1
Hello and Greetings

New to this forum …. I am a muscle car enthusiast like all of you here. Be it Chev, Ford, Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Jeep, Rambler…. Ect … ect.... and of course … “Mopar” … Hemi cars especially so.

My best friend passed away a year and a half ago … leaving his wife a collection of cars. One car in his collection brings me here to learn and search for more information. I will be posting questions concerning Coronet Hemi cars in particular. I have much documentation and researched several places already and found a discrepancy about numbers built from a couple sites. This is what brings me here.

On this site .... In what forum section would you suggest to ask for info leading to any knowledge of a 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 2DR Hardtop with factory Hemi ? ( Non RT model ) Most research only points to only one documented such car ever being produced. However; found one site suggesting a few where built. This will be the question to post first. Also have a couple other questions as we go along here.

I may not be able to respond everyday.

Looking forward to hearing from you and reading about all your cars and knowledge.

I want to thank anybody and everybody on this forum for reading this post and responding… now or in near future.

Thank You
Cruizer

Welcome Cruizer, if you could just put up the 1st 5 or so numbers and letters of the VIN#, that would be great, I understand a few of these were built in 67!!

Thank's for the kind welcome

We have build sheet plus all previouse owners. This car has been documented twice. Been at the same home for many years.

Racer Brown has made the one statement that brings me here. Hoping to dispell or find proof of another such car. All information we have found, only shows one 1967 Coronet 2DR Hardtop with Hemi and one 500 with Hemi. All others are Coronet Hemi cars are RT model's (238 built) or one of the 55 factory built ss drag race cars. I am only talking 1967 year models.

Please keep in mind Racer Brown ... not trying to single you out. This car just happens to be my favorite car out of his collection. Just really looking to find as much facts as I can. This being the coronet forum ... hoping to find the people with solid correct information. Wikipedia mentions only one such car to exist.... along with a few other sites. Then I found only one other site saying there was a few. If you do know of another documented car. Please advise me.

I think this was not the proper area to bring up this question. Will move this question to other area in forum also.

I did something wrong to load photo. Will try again soon.

Thank's again .... again Racer Brown ... not trying to say your incorrect. Just want to know this being the only one produced.

Off to figure out how load a picture to share. Last time just put a red x in the spot. ?

Thanks Tyrra

OOPS ! from earlier post. I transposed my numbers on production ... should have read 283 Rt Hemi's ... also forgot about the 4 convertables. I was just re-reading glenwood76 site. Great site.

Well, here's what I've got, according to Galien Govier's Production book, 67 Coronet Deluxe (2Dr Post) 3 Hemis 1 4speed, 2 autos. 67 Coronet Model 440 HT, 1 Hemi auto. 67 Coronet Model 440 convert, 1 Hemi auto! This being a very, very, rare car, I would love some pics of this guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank's Racer Brown

This car has been documented by Galen Govier twice before.

I think you have pretty much shown why I get the comment about there being a few of them. As I understand it... There are the 4 1967 Coronet Deluxe Hemi cars. ... however; there is only one 1967 Coronet 440 2Dr Hardtop Hemi car. I think this may be what happens.... when people are talking about a few... when you combine them. glenwood76 site and Galen Govier do show them as separate.
