A couple weeks ago we took Max to the track for the season opener test day. It was a really nice chilly day so the track was ice cold.
First run was like on ice Max didn't go anywhere even after feathering clutch and the guy next to me in a new Mustang didn't let off right away so he headed for the wall but managed to not hit it, so that run was over.
Next run I was behind a `67 Camaro with a full tank of fuel and a leaky fuel cap, he dumped some on the track. They tried to clean it up then waved we up, I planned on slippery again and sure enough we spin again but feathered it through and at least still hit 100 mph Itime was 14.0.
Last run I got behind a bunch a rails so I hoping I might have a clean track and it looked great. I decided to dump the clutch hard and hope for the best. Max launched hard and I did feel and smell some clutch slip which is fine because this clutch set up always just keeps biting through and in second it lit up tires some . We ran a 13.5 104 mph.
A super fun day even with the challenging track with Lauri and Mia. Smell race fuel and tire smoke always is fun, and drive there race and drive home a good day.
