I personally don't think it looks good on anything before the 68 model year.

I agree.

My friend added these to this pic to show me how it would look, still undecided.

Poor picture quality, but heres a TV commercial for the 67 Dart and 67 Coronet RT convertible. The RT convertible in the commercial has the optional 67 side stripe.

Meanwhile, you can view TV commercials for the 67 500 hardtop and the 67 500 convertible here (since we're talking about the 67 500).

Now that I like. At least there is some precedence for the stripe. It's like a 'This is what they should have followed through with why didn't they" look. Much more 'of the time' than a bumble bee stripe.

Personally I do not like the rump stripe on the '66's and '67's but it's your car...

I'm not a fan of the 1968 and up Bumble Bee stripes on any of the pre 1968 cars, especially the 1966 and 1967 Coronets, but that's just one guys opinion. I would also agree with those who really like the 1967 Coronet 500's side trim. The yellow 67 500 below is just a stunning car in my opinion and if I owned one, that trim would stay on the car without any question.

As others have said, if you want to add one of these stripes to your car, you should do so, because at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what anybody else thinks right? Wink
