A look inside the engine, check out the polished smooth finish of the valley. Smooth as my.... well never mind that but it's smooth.

Super smooth, just like a babies' bottom! LOL. Have you ever considered coating those smooth surfaces with Glyptal?

It is too smooth for that, if it was untouched then that would be a good improvement. The crank area looks like this too I can only imagine the time it took to do all that polishing

The new cam seems happy in its new home, I haven't put too many miles on it yet maybe 100. I had the drivers front seat repaired while it was down also, the original foam was soft and had a tear in original cover under where seat back contacts lower part. Not bad after all these years that is all it needed.

WOW Andy, you still have foam in Max's seats? I've been sitting on seat covers, seat frames and various stages of seat foam dust for years now in my 1966 500! Rofl I'm SO looking forward to getting my seats completely restored! Other than a brand new engine or paint job, nothing is nicer than having the seats restored! Smile

I'm also happy to hear that the new camshaft is working out well. Cool Maybe a trip to the drag strip to air out Max's lungs is in order? Banging Gears
