I got the exhaust hooked to manifolds from headers today . I had my friends towing company tow it there and back since I haven't even fired it up yet.
Boy talk about nerve racking, I am really bad about having other people work on my car.

I overreacted as usual a bit, but it was only around the block and back.
Its back now, I can get some sleep.

Max on the hook pic for Richard, last time ever being towed Smile

Cam break in went well, it purrrrrrrd at 2000 rpm for 20 minutes, had a friend Brian sit in it and keep eye on gauges for me and watch clock. Seems like hours went by and it was only 20 minutes. LOL

I used VHT primer on manifolds and then was thinking painting black but I liked the look of the primer I left it as is and it looks great I think.

Only leak I had was drain plug gasket didnt seal well and dripped some, but had to change 30 wt non detergent oil and break in lube anyway, I added more Lucas break in additive to the VR1 oil to run engine for a 1000 miles.

The rocker set-up worked perfect and only needed minor adjustment, to be expected as first adjustment was cold and this one was hot.

Drove it home Sunday and O Boy what a feeling a fresh engine Banging Gears

I can't thank Mike enough for all the help he has given me and super deal on the heads. It just makes the whole build more fun when you have a good friend involved. (still can't have Shorty though)

And that is what it is all about to me , Having fun with friends and Mopars.

FANTASTIC news on the break-in Andy!!! The link for your video works above, but when you get to that page, there is no video, at least when I just tried it a couple of times. I'd really like to see and hear that new 440 run!!! I also REALLY love the look of those h.p. exhaust manifolds! I wonder where I've seen a set of those before? Rofl

A huge "atta boy" to Mike aslo for all of his help on this project!
