Hi all from the Netherlands 69 Coronet R/T owner
#1
Hi all,

New here.
Recently owner of a 1969 Coronet R/T, Sublime green with a 440 HP engine and 727 auto tranny.
Signed in here to read some more info and help and hopefully provide some as well with my knowledge gained so far.

The cars registration shows it has been sold new here in the Netherlands in 1970, although the current VIN # of the car that has been stamped in the chassis (required to be stamped here) does not match the cars data and is a false registration which happened a lot with these cars years ago.
Most likely it got another Coronet registration and they illegally transfferred the VIN and licence plates.

The car was bought in the understanding to be not a matching #'s which i and the seller realized.
After spending some time on the car and reading about matching numbers i decided to at least check to find some digits and found that the full VIN was stamped on the engine, matching everything on the car, and found the same last 8 digits in the radiator support and below the trunk lid rubber seal.
VIN as per registration: WP23G0A******, VIN found on the engine and chassis: WS23L9E******

All in all a good buy i guess, the only thing not being original is most likely the paint color, as far is i know this color was introduced in 1970.
But as they car must have been imported at some point i am hoping to find on this forum a previous owner or documentation of the car from it's time in the US.

See you around!

Thanks.
Good luck with the negotiations.
Dunno if you are hunting for a number matching car but just make sure you do your home work first! 👍

I was really lucky with this. (Dumb luck) 😁

Welcome. What is the VIN on the dash? Or is it still there?

The dash tag is gone, same as the fender tag.
The only numbers i have are a hand stamped VIN (which is from another car) and the matching VIN on the engine, radiator frame and trunk lid lip.
