Congrats Manny. On taking the windows out, usually you have to sacrifice something. Either the glass or gasket. So if you are trying to save the glass, I'd suggest you carefully remove the trim, cut the gasket from the top to expose the windshield edge completely, then VERY carefully separate the glass from the inside part of the gasket. This is where most people crack perfectly good glass. You can't flex the glass at all, it will crack very easily. You use either a putty knife or utility knife and take your time. When the glass is ready to come out, it should not be stuck anywhere. Also make sure you don't pry on the glass when taking the trim off.

Good luck. That car looks like a great parts car. Try not to let anything go to waste, when you are done with it, sell it to someone else.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news to Manny and others who were looking to use the front windshield and it's related gasket and exterior trim moulding parts from a 1969 Coronet 4 door sedan on their 1969 Coronet 2 door hardtop, or 2 door sedan, because as Rich has already mentioned (and very clearly to me at least Smile ), none of those various parts are interchangeable between the 2 and 4 door body styles.

Below are the 1969 factory part numbers for all of these parts and the specific body style applications those parts fit. The part numbers for the front windshield glass and front windshield gaskets are used on both the 1969 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body cars, but for the front windshield exterior trim mouldings, upper, lower and side, I've only included the part numbers for all of the 1969 Coronet models due to the time it would take me to list all of the Dodge and Plymouth B-Body part numbers for that trim moulding.

As mentioned, this information comes from the 1969 Chrysler factory parts book along with some additional minor editing and formatting by me to make the information easier to read.

I hope this helps you out Manny and any others considering this same swap. I hate to keep harping on this same thought, but a copy of a factory parts book which is available as a FREE download on the MyMopar web site that I help out on for most vehicles from the 1950's up to 1973, along with a factory service manual that you can purchase in either a CD, or printed book format for your specific car, will be your two very best friends during any type of restoration work you are planning on doing to your car. Wink

After typing all of the information below, I'm gonna go listen to some Rammstein music to get the feeling back in my fingers and hands!!! Rofl

Richard

All good news for you on the floor pans though Manny. As Mike and others have said, all 1969 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body cars use the same front floor pan assembly and all except the station wagon models use the same center and rear floor pan assembly, so the 4 door sedan that you purchased will help you with your 2 door hardtop there.
