Reccomendation needed

Who makes a set of window cat wiskers that are correct and actually fit? I've bought 2 sets now for my '66 and they both blow:mad:. The two I've bought are PUI and Top Cat.

Thanks in advance.

I bought Top Cat for my 67. They are okay. I ruined one because the window was out of alignment. Each window has a long and a short whisker.
My outside whisker got ruined by the chrome window edge..

I aligned the glass and replaced the whisker. It is now perfect ...

The top Cat set I bought looks good but the inside whiskers don't sit flush with the top of the door - looks like the clips that were stapled to them were attached too low. Another F'n restoration part nightmare.

I bought Cat ones also, fuzzy falls off where glass chrome rubs on it. Did it all the way around. Poo Poo heads. Sad

I feel your pain on these parts Jeff, as I've also purchased several different brands of these damn "catwhiskers" for my 66 Coronet 500 hardtop over the years and have truly hated ALL of them! The last set that I purchased back in 2008 was a set of the "Top Cat" brand from Restoration Specialties And Supply Inc. in Windber PA. I haven't tried to install them yet, but I'm sure hoping that they work out well, as they are supposedly the best available, but after hearing your guy's opinions, I'm more than a little bit worried now. :p The quality of the "Top Cat" brand parts looks superior to any of the others I've purchased or seen, but looks can be deceiving and we'll have to wait and see how they fit. How long ago did you guys purchase your "Top Cat" parts? I believe that some of the issues arise due to the p.i.t.a. way that they have to be installed. Sad Chrysler didn't do much homework on these particular parts did they. Rolleyes

I did mine last spring. I also did the glass to wing window guides as well. I removed the door glass with the vent window assembly. I noted the placement of the inner and outer whisker. Then I pulled them out. Once out. You need to flatten out the edge if you bent anything during removal. Then snap in the Matching whisker into its holes. There is a long and short whisker per side. Then I lowered the glass and vent window assembly down into the door and secured it. Also welded a broken suppt inside the door.. Adjust and done.
