New with 66' 500 convertible
#1
Hi all,
New member here. Just got my first old Coronet. 66 convertible 500. 383, 833 trans and 8 3/4 rear.
It's been disassembled for a few years. Previous owner was attempting a restoration and just ran out of energy for this project. My gain!!!!!
I'm sure I'll be asking many questions in the months to come how all this fits back together as I have all parts in bins...

Welcome!! Nice looking car you have there. If you have any questions, ask away. While we are nowhere near size of other places, most people here are 66-7 overs (except for one in Pennsyltucky)

I've got some odds and ends from my 66 around, so if run into something need, just post and I'll see..
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

I did some quick research and is this correct?? I read only about 180 or so 66 500 convertibles were 4 speeds... I didn't  realize it was that rare, not did the seller if this is correct info.....

Welcome.
If a man speaks while in his garage and his wife does not hear it, is he still wrong?

I don't have the exact numbers, Piper might.  I've only seen one other factory spd 500 vert, it was a 383 manual steering/brake car.  It's in members garage in Massachusetts now, a place where Coronets go in, but never come out
