Hi there I'm new to the forum and to muscle cars.
just bought my first 67 dodge coronet 2 door hardtop.
i have not tried yet to fix any of these problems as I only recieved my car on Thursday and left it again the same day.
i see it again this Tuesday.
1.my temp gauge isn't working what is a manual way of testing the gauge.
2.my speedo is out by8mph is there a chart I can look up to see what speedo gear I need.
3.rear window has a leak. What is a gentle way of removing rear window chrome strip so I don't damage it to asses fault.
4. What have other people done about tachos?
thanks in advanced.

Hi JPR777, welcome to the site.
First and foremost, you will benefit from getting a factory service manual for your car, it will give you valuable information for everything you could possibly want to do to it.
On the temp gauge, is the gas gauge working? If so, you can ground the sensor wire briefly to see if it goes up. if it does, then the problem is the sensor, if not, you will have to trouble shoot the circuit.
You can buy speedo gears that will compensate for the speedo inaccuracy, one tooth is about 5% give or take.
Rear window leak can be a little tricky. The trim will come off, but it takes patience to get each individual clip to let go and it is easy to ruin the trim if you are not careful. Once out, you can see more.
On #4, I love ground beef with cheese, lettuce and hot sauce!
Welcome aboard and good luck.
BTW, can we see pics, we LOVE pics.

Welcome to the DCR jpr777. I'm usually the one letting new members know how helpful a Factory Service Manual can be when working on their cars, but Rich beat me to it this time. If you're interested in purchasing this manual, I've listed two Ebay auction links below for you to look at. The first is for the 1967 Coronet Factory Service Manual in a CD format and the second is for this same manual in a printed book format. The Ebay seller that I'm referring you to is a company called Faxon Automotive Literature and they are licensed by Chrysler to reproduce these manuals. I've dealt with them for many years and have always received first class customer service and high quality reproduction manuals, so I think you will enjoy doing business with them as well.
