Part 4:
The Mopars I've owned over the years include the following.
Richard
Last up are the various Dodge pickup trucks I've owned over the years.
(01 and 02) 1973 & 1974 Dodge Club Cabs, both were the Metallic Brown and both were small block powered with automatic transmissions, both had power steering and brakes and factory a/c and both had the heavy duty towing and cooling packages. I have no pictures of either one of these pickups.
(03) 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 2x4, single cab, long bed, Dark Blue Metallic, gray interior, 5.2 engine, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, factory a/c, 3.92 gear ratio, I upgraded the rear suspension to heavy duty leaf springs and added a set of the "helper springs", heavy duty towing and cooling packages, heavy duty rear hitch, trailer brake assembly. This awesome pickup could haul my 16 foot car trailer loaded up with my 66 Coronet 500 and all of my race gear in the bed and never complained! I absolutely loved that truck until the day it was taken out by a U.S. Mail truck while my son was driving it. My son wasn't hurt but it totaled the Ram.
The only picture I have of this 94 Ram after my computer crashed shows it sitting behind my 66 Coronet 500 at one of our local race tracks back in 1997 or so.
(04) Last but certainly not least is my beloved 1999 Dodge Ram Sport 1500 Quad Cab, 2x4, short bed, bought this truck brand new in April 1999 and it was loaded with factory options and I had planned on keeping it forever right up until early 2018 when a damned Lexus driver pulled out in front of my wife and I and then stopped right in front of us! My wife was driving and did her best to avoid the idiot in the Lexus but she really had nowhere to go and even though it was in MINT condition and was a low mileage truck our insurance company totaled it due to it being a 1999 vintage. I bought it back from our insurance company and sold it to an awesome friend of mine and he fixed all of the damage and repainted it in it's original Solar Yellow but as of yet has not had the custom art work redone on the front grille, hood and doors.
When the truck was only six months old I had all of the following done.
(A) "Ghosted" art work was painted on various parts of the truck in House of Colors Candy Pearl Tangerine Orange (and yes Virginia, it's REALLY difficult to see all of this beautiful art work in pictures!). The front grille, hood and front doors received ghosted flames, the front fascia receive a ghosted Standing Road Runner with racing helmet as used on the 1969 Plymouth Road Runners, the fiberglass bed cover received a large ghosted 3-D Chrysler Pentastar and the tailgate received ghosted DODGE block letters and a Running Road Runner with Dust Trail as used on the 1970 Road Runners.
(B) A custom DODGE front windshield decal was made and installed
© The front suspension was lowered 2 inches and the rear suspension was lowered 4 inches and aftermarket heavy duty shock absorbers were installed
(D) At that same time I bought the custom 17x9 alloy wheels and Goodyear Eagle tires and had a local muffler shop install a new custom cat-back dual exhaust system with chrome tips that was run out underneath the rear bumper.
So it survives and is in great hands these days.....just not in my hands anymore.
