Full review of shakerhood.com 1969 1/2 six pack base plate coming soon.

So I finally went ahead and purchased this piece. It took me 3 years to finally buy it because it cost 1,100.00.
For now I just have the crappy fiberglass one and it is horrible! I should be receiving it today or tomorrow and will have a full review with pics for people who are on the fence about buying one. Hopefully this helps some people out.

I have to say I didn't know what to expect but I am incredibly surprised with the quality of this baseplate!! It is pretty accurate although I don't have a side by side comparison. pretty heavy duty and very good detail. I think for the ones out there and how expensive it is I would say it was worth the $1,100.00. Fit and finish is VERY NICE! The pics don't do it justice. I was very happy to replace the fiberglass one with this that's for sure. I think the original drain tubes were riveted on these are attached by screws, but still nicely done.

WOW!! Very nice and I didn't know they were that expensive, almost as much as the carbs! I need to go to a 3 speed wiper and then get an air cleaner, thanks for the review

Yes, they are expensive but shakerhood.com has the best prices. Just the baseplate is $1,100.00 and the whole kit which includes the air cleaner, baseplate and top plate is $1,300.00. That price is about $500 cheaper from what I saw at Carlisle. Like I said it was surprised at the quality.
