The performer rpm is a good intake but you will no be able to use the stock dual snorkel air cleaner, it will hit the hood.

NEEDS to clear stock hood-options?

Another question-block is stamped 12-27-65. Car had scheduled build of 9-22-66. Is that early of a cast normal?

Stranger things have happened, but the chance of that block being original to the car is pretty slim.
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

What should fuel line size be on a stock 440? 5/16" or 3/8"
Years ago I must have ordered 3/8" tank to pump line as I have a brand new one. Can this be used-adapted down if stock is 5/16"?

Holley Street Dominator Intake will give you more clearance for the stock air cleaner than the Performer RPM does, and maybe a few more HP. Think I would go with a 750 Speed Demon Carb w/ vacuum secondary and electric choke.

You want your torque converter stall under your cruise RPM or you'll get slippage in the trans. Building up heat and burning up your transmission. Gear ratio and tire diameter are factors in figuring this out. Big block and heavy car will raise stall about 300 RPM over advertised range, so since it is mild. 2000-2400 range - I'd rebuild the 727 with a shift kit installed. Skip a reverse manual valve body, or you'll be shifting it at every light.
