I,m replacing the seal that goes where the filler tube goes into the tank . That big
looking thing . Any tricks to doing this . Should I grease it up or install it dry ? Thanks . BooBoo
LIL WD-40 won't hurt on the neck when sliding back in but that's about it. Easy job.

Good.. Rich can label someone else the pervert now!!
LOL! As Maxwell Smart used to say..."And loving it"! LOL
BTW... I dunno about you, but I tried replacing my tank, tank to body pad, with a new strap and j bolt. What a freaking nightmare this was. The J bolt that Layson's restoration supplied wasn't anywhere near the same as the original one. The new strap was creased the opposite way it should;ve been, and the tank wouldn't allow the old strap to wrap around it easily. I literally had to use a scissor jack and all of my might to wrap the old strap and J bolt up into the car. The pad wouldn't fit. It was Beeeeeyond tight.
