Woodward week 2018

Just putting it out there to anyone who’s never been. It is THE LARGEST car event in the world. Official day is next Saturday but events and cruising are already happening. Any car guy owes it to himself to try and attend once in his life.

I'll be meeting with Racer Brown on Wedensday and were going to an event at M1 Concourse. I'll be between 10 1/2 & 11 mile on Saturday. This week is going to be crazy (FUN!!) on Woodward.

Went to Woodward most of the day yesterday. Metup with Racer Brown (Steve) and his wife. Took them to M1 Conourse for a party with the Mopar car club I belong too (Michigan Mopar Muscle) and a Viper club.
There was thrill rides around the track in Challenger and Charger Hellcats. I didn't bother because there was a long wait to get ar sick!! Piper is saying within a few miles from my house. Going to try to get togeather with him today. I'll be back on Woodward tomorrow and Saurday. Steve was having trouble wih his K-car. Trans pan was leaking. I hooked him up wih a friend who works at a local trans shop.

Be cool to bump into you guys out there. Don't think the '67 is gonna make it. Having carb issues. Broke down wed night as soon as we turned onto Woodward! Thinking the carb is getting hot and cooking the fuel. It's happened twice now after stopping for a light. Carb is hot to the touch. Maybe poor fuel is what people have mentioned too. After sitting I bought some gas and splashed it down the carb-started right up. Car made the 10-15 mile ride out there no problem!???

I just bought the 9266 gasket. This gasket has the divider-I'm running an old CH4B intake which as far as I know is a dual plane which the divided gasket is meant for???
The open gasket 9265 is for single plane?
The air cleaner is gonna be cozy now! Did the play doe thing last night and I have a hair over half inch at the back. Gasket is 5/16".
I'm gonna try gas from a better station as well-Kroger Premium in there now.

Went back on Woodward Friday afternoon for a few hours. It was raining so I didn't stay to long. It was still pretty busy. Saturday started out great. My 2 year old granddaughter insisted that she help me clean my car.
I was invited to a corporate party along with a few friends. My friend John brought his 71 Challenger convertible & Dave brought his 66 Barracuda 273 4 speed. The front end of John's Challenger was used in the 2015 & 2016 Challenger brochure and the picture was also used on stage in New York for the Demon release. We were having a great time until someone decided to crash the party. I'll get into that later!
