Bolts to the left front of the exhaust manifold. Does it hold the ignition wires back? 7935]
What is the purpose of this bracket?

Cool!
Another question. Is there a right way to arrange the wires on the distributor cap? I mean like where to start #1 wire so that it routes properly. I don't mean firing order. It's just that I'm starting fresh and it's confusing with nothing to go by. I may have an issue trying to run factory appearing wires with Hooker Super Comps as well.

I guess mine got "tossed" before I got it! Does anybody have an "extra"?
Objects quickly DISAPPEAR in the rearview mirror and PLEASE stay seated until the ride comes to a complete stop!!

Steve, it appears that this "L" bracket was only used on '68 & '69 big blocks, so yours wouldn't have had it but not 100% sure so don't take it as gospel. Here's a link where you can get one if you so decide. http://www.megapartsusa.com/proddetail.a...101%2DPWBL Here is a "complete bracket kit" for a '67 B-body big block car. Supposedly, this is correct for your car. http://www.megapartsusa.com/proddetail.a...%2DPWBWR36

Ours has original paint and was mounted under the wire loom on the same stud. I feel original?
Does anyone have an answer to my distributor question above (post #3) regarding where to start the number one plug wire?

Looking at the distributor, #1 is usually on the bottom, more towards front of motor than back. It can be anywhere you want it to be, it all depends where you drop the oil pump shaft in once the engine is on TDC for the firing stroke.
As for routing wires with those headers, it's going to depend on what size the tubes are. With the 1 7/8 Super Comps, the factor wires seemed to work the best for me.
I love Mopars so much I'm date coding the skid marks in my underwear.

Typically, the #1 wire is located where the arrow is on this photo just like Mike was saying in the previous post.

Thanks again. Have to play around with the stock set I bought and see if I can make em work. I want it looking stock as possible. I'm learning the pain/re-engineering that's involved whenever you deviate from stock.
