Did Dodge offer an AM/FM option on the 67 Coronet. If so does anyone have information (part number) or a picture of what the radio looks like ? Thanks

Not to derail from the original discussion but has anyone else put a CD player in the glovebox? I installed the factory AM radio back in with the dash speaker and plan to install a cd player int he glovebox and put some 6x9's int he back dash for that receiver. Anyone done this and have pictures of what it looks like?

My Ross Roy Data book does not show an AM-FM available in 67 for Coronet or Charger, pricing does not show one
either. They were available in B bodies in 64-65

Dodge did offer them as a dealer installed option for 66 and 67 Coronets. I've alwasy felt they were not offered as factory installed. However Darrell (696pack) says they were offered from the factory and he has first hand experience on this.

According to my 1966 factory parts book, there were no factory installed AM/FM radios offered by Chrysler either as standard equipment, or as an option for the 1966 Coronet and Charger models built for U.S. buyers. I don't have a 1966 Canadian parts book, so I can't speak for cars built for export to Canada. Plymouth however did offer U.S. buyers an AM/FM option for their 1966 Belvedere and Satellite models as shown below.
As far as dealer installed AM/FM radios go for the 1966 Dodge B-Body cars, I can't speak on that either, because I don't have any dealer source material to prove, or disprove that this was done, but as already mentioned above, there are no part numbers for an AM/FM radio in the 1966 factory parts book, so I'm not sure what radios the dealers would have used. Maybe they were able to use a 1966 Dodge C-Body radio? Here's all of the standard and optional radios for the 1966 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body cars. 1966 Dodge Coronet models 1966 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661221 Description: radio model #232, AM Music Master Applications: all 1966 Coronet models ordered with a radio. 1966 Charger models 1966 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661223 Description: radio model #233, AM Music Master Applications: all 1966 Charger models ordered with a radio. No pictures available. 1966 Belvedere and Satellite models 1966 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661219 Description: radio model #230, AM Music Master Applications: 1966 Belvedere and Satellite models ordered with an AM radio. 1966 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661220 Description: radio model #369, AM/FM Music Master Applications: 1966 Belvedere and Satellite models ordered with an AM/FM radio. No pictures available. In 1967, Chrysler DID offer a factory option for all 1967 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body cars. Here's all of the standard and optional radios for the 1967 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body cars. 1967 Dodge Coronet models 1967 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661221 Description: radio model #232, AM Music Master Applications: all 1967 Coronet models ordered with an AM radio. Same basic model as shown above for the 1966 Coronet models. 1967 Dodge Coronet models 1967 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661222 Description: radio model #370, AM/FM Deluxe Music Master Applications: all 1967 Coronet models ordered with an AM/FM radio. No pictures available. 1967 Charger models 1967 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661223 Description: radio model #233, AM Music Master Applications: all 1967 Charger models ordered with an AM radio. No pictures available. 1967 Charger models 1967 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2864709 Description: radio model #381 AM/FM Deluxe Music Master Applications: all 1967 Charger models ordered with an AM/FM radio. No pictures available 1967 Belvedere and Satellite models 1967 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661219 Description: radio model #230, AM Music Master Applications: 1967 Belvedere and Satellite models ordered with an AM radio. 1967 factory parts book section number: 1-87-1 Part number: 2661220 Description: radio model #369, AM/FM Music Master Applications: 1967 Belvedere and Satellite models ordered with an AM/FM radio. No pictures available. As far as finding one of the factory 1967 Dodge B-Body AM/FM radios goes, that won't be easy, as I've rarely seen them up for sale anywhere and the few times that I have seen them, they have been rather expensive due to their rarity. Unless you're building a serious show car that was factory equipped with one of these factory AM/FM radios, pass on them and go purchase a good aftermarket radio and hide it somewhere inside of the car, or better yet, buy yourself an iPod and take your music with you when you get out of the car. I have 3 of the standard AM radios for the 1966 Coronet. 2 of them are still in the factory boxes and one is not but is in perfect shape. The ironic thing is my car came radio delete and I have the delete plate on the dash still and no antenna hole in the right fender. The radios came with the car purchase as the old owner was going to install a radio. I know this won't help with the original post but I just wanted to say that, LOL.
